The purpose of a storyteller

The purpose of a storyteller is not to tell you how to think, but to give you questions to think upon

Storytelling is one of the most effective ways to communicate with students. A story stays with children much longer than facts and statistics. It is a never-ending journey of learning and understanding the world around us. To foster the skills of listening and speaking, a story-telling session was conducted by Ms. Usha Chhabra, an experienced storyteller who is a trained puppeteer and has worked with many organisations as a teacher. The unique warmth in the way she narrated the story drew the children into her stories, leaving them spellbound and asking for more. Developing communication skills and expanding the realm of their imagination was the objective of the workshop, and overall, it was a great learning experience for the students.
